Creating an account is free and takes less than 30 seconds using Google sign-in!

Method 1: Floating Button (Recommended)

1. Navigate to any job posting on a supported platform
2. Look for the ResumeMate floating button (blue icon) on the page
3. Click the floating button to open the save panel
4. Review and edit job details if needed
5. Select application status (Saved, Applied, etc.)
6. Click "Save Job" button

Method 2: Extension Popup

1. Click the ResumeMate icon in your browser toolbar
2. Click "Save Current Job" button
3. Extension will auto-extract job details
4. Fill in or confirm the details
5. Click "Save"

To attach a resume when saving a job marked as "Applied":

1. Open the job save panel (floating button or extension popup)
2. Change the status to "Applied"
3. Look for the "Attach Resume" section
4. Click "Choose File" or drag-and-drop a PDF file
5. Wait for upload confirmation
6. Click "Save Job" to complete

Yes! You can edit any saved job in multiple ways:

Option 1: From the Dashboard

1. Go to resumemate.io/all-jobs
2. Find the job you want to edit
3. Click the edit icon or job row
4. Update any field (status, notes, salary, etc.)
5. Click "Save Changes"

Option 2: From the Extension

1. Click the ResumeMate extension icon
2. Navigate to "My Jobs"
3. Select the job to edit
4. Make your changes
5. Save

1. Go to resumemate.io/all-jobs
2. Select multiple jobs using checkboxes
3. Click "Delete Selected"
4. Confirm bulk deletion

Delete Your Entire Account:

1. Go to Account Settings on resumemate.io
2. Scroll to "Danger Zone"
3. Click "Delete Account"
4. Confirm by typing your email
5. All data permanently deleted within 30 days

We request only the minimum permissions necessary for the extension to function. Here's exactly what we need and why:

Here's what's completely confidential:

• Job Listings You View: We don't track which jobs you look at
• Jobs You Save: Only you can see your saved jobs
• Application Status: Private to your account
• Your Notes: Encrypted and only accessible to you
• Resume Files: Stored securely, never shared

The extension works independently of job platforms - we don't interact with or notify the platforms when you save jobs.

If job details aren't being extracted properly, try these solutions:

Try these troubleshooting steps in order:

1. 1. Verify You're on a Supported Platform

   The button only appears on job pages from LinkedIn, Indeed, Naukri, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter, Dice, Y Combinator, Wellfound, Greenhouse, Workday, and SmartRecruiters.

2. 2. Check Extension is Enabled

   Go to chrome://extensions/ and make sure:

   • ResumeMate is enabled (toggle on)
   • No error messages shown
   • Extension icon appears in toolbar
3. 3. Refresh the Page

   Press F5 or Ctrl+R (Cmd+R on Mac). The extension injects the button when the page loads, so a refresh may help.

4. 4. Check for Page Conflicts

   Some ad blockers or privacy extensions can interfere. Try temporarily disabling other extensions to see if the button appears.

5. 5. Clear Cache and Reload

   Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete, select "Cached images and files", click Clear, then reload the job page.

6. 6. Reinstall Extension

   If nothing else works:

   • Remove the extension from chrome://extensions/
   • Restart Chrome
   • Reinstall from Chrome Web Store
   • Sign in again

Resume upload failures usually have simple fixes:

Follow these troubleshooting steps:

1. 1. Verify You're Signed In

   On EACH device:

   • Click the ResumeMate extension icon
   • Check if you see your email at the top
   • If signed out, click "Sign In" and log in

   Make sure you're logged in with the SAME email on all devices. Different accounts don't share data.

3. 3. Check Internet Connection

   Syncing requires internet on both devices. Connect to WiFi or use mobile data.

4. 4. Force Refresh

   On the device where jobs aren't showing:

   • Open the extension popup
   • Click the refresh/sync icon
   • Or visit resumemate.io/all-jobs and refresh (F5)
5. 5. Wait a Few Minutes

   Syncing usually happens instantly, but can take 1-2 minutes during high server load. Be patient and try refreshing.

6. 6. Clear Cache and Re-login

   If still not working:

   • Sign out from the extension
   • Clear browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete)
   • Sign in again
   • Check if jobs appear now
